QRtcullis back to all projects Online games bring together people that are geographically separated into a virtual world where they can interact. Board games physically bring people together to play. Our game, QRtcullis, does both.

This is a place-based, multiplayer and social game that can be played on any smartphone, tablet, or computer. The game is a remix of the fort explorer genre, updated to have a connection the pysical world through QRcode based markers representing portals. Players can only unlock and play a specific fort by finding its portal. The surrounding environment in the real world can also affect the fort (ex. weather, holidays, festivals).

This project was created using NodeJS, HTML5, JQuery, Websockets and Mongodb.

QRTcullis is a collaboration with Julia Ma, Ms '12 and Dan Schultz, Ms '12
